Designs by Lat was born during the COVID-19 pandemic when her son, Kevin, purchased his first home in the Peachtree Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. Due to the pandemic, Kevin had challenges with his search for pillows and draperies for his home so he decided to pursue an alternative solution. Who did he turn to? Mom! Together, they sourced custom fabrics and curated each pillow and window draperies in his home to match his personal style.

In addition to this, Lat has had a passion for sewing since her middle school days in Home Economics.

Lat's penchant for creating custom-made pillows and draperies directed her desire to become a designer, thus producing 'Designs by Lat'.
